Spain

 
The Official Credit Institute (ICO), is a state-owned corporate entity, attached to the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Finance.
The financing facilities offered by ICO are:

 
The Programme for Investments Abroad (PROINVEX) finances large-scale foreign investment projects abroad involving Spanish enterprises.
The co-operation agreement between ICO and “Corporación Andina de Fomento” (CAF). Its objective is to promote investments of Spanish companies in countries where CAF acts.
Agreement between the ICO and the Central American Bank of Economic Integration (only in Spanish).
Agreement between ICO and BANCOMEXT: Loan agreement whereby “Banco Nacional de Comercio Exterior de México” grants a loan facility amounting to US$50 million, or the equivalent in euros, for the purpose of financing combined projects involving Spanish and Mexican capital (only in Spanish).
GRINVE programme: The Large-Scale Investment Programme (GRINVE) seeks to finance investment projects in Spain in sectors considered as priority for the country's economy (energy, transport, telecommunications, technological innovation, water, the environment among others). The minimum amount in these operations is 6m euro or the counter value in foreign currencies. Applicants may be enterprises or institutions of any kind (project finance concerns, public administrations and entities). The financial conditions for the loans are those prevailing on the market and repayment and grace periods are established in accordance with the characteristics of the project to be financed.

COFIDES, offers financial support to Spanish companies’ private investment projects in developing countries. Among others, it manages the Foreign Investment Fund for Spanish Companies (FIEX) which is greatly helping companies expanding its infrastructure projects’ folder in developing countries, as well as providing financing in other type of investments, such as acquisitions (only in Spanish)

The state-owned Spanish Export Credit Agency (CESCE), company specialised in insuring firms against the risks of default, stemming from sales of their products and services in both the domestic and foreign markets.

Mexico

 
Banobras. The aim of this institution is to finance infrastructure projects which demonstrate that they have a level of profitability enough to support the path of economic progress of the country (only in Spanish).

 
Fund of Support to States and Municipalities (FOAEM) assumes exchange risks of external credits fixed by development banking institutions that participate as financial agents in federal operations (only in Spanish).
Trusteeship. To backup infrastructure activities, as well as public and urban services (only in Spanish).
Sale and lease back (only in Spanish).
Infrastructures Investment Fund, (FINFRA) was created to encourage private, national and foreign investors to participate in basic infrastructure projects.

“Nacional Financiera”, is a development banking institution, that supports financial, training and technical assistance and information needs of medium-sized enterprises in Mexico (NAFIN).

Brazil

 
The Brazilian Development Bank is a federal public company associated to the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade. Its financial support lines and programmes serve the needs of companies’ investments of any size and sector, established in the country.

 
Financial Infrastructure Programme. This programme promotes the expansion of infrastructures, in order to reduce costs, increase productivity, obtain quality improvement of goods and services for the productive structure, and to consolidate regional integration.
