Asesores de Infraestructuras (A de I) has signed a exclusive partnership agreement with the Mexico-based firm EM Consultoría en proyectos público privados (EMC) in order to act jointly as advisers to potential promoters/investors in the ambitious Infrastructures’ Promotion Program, under PPP schemes, recently launched by the Federal Government of Mexico and which affects to several economic sectors, from road transportation to health and social infrastructure.
A de I will contribute its expertise in structuring public sector PPPs in Europe – mainly, in Spain – at the same time, it will try to promote Spanish key players (construction companies, infrastructures’ investors and financial institutions) participation in tendered-out projects. EMC will contribute its thorough knowledge of the Mexican market and all agents involved in the promotion and/or financing of infrastructures.

Asesores de Infraestructuras (A de I) and US-based firm Jeffrey Parker & Associates, Inc. (JPA), have formed InfraPartners (http://www.infrapartners.com/), a strategic partnership under which the firm’s serve as co-advisors in the US PPP arena to both public and private sector clients. On the public side, InfraPartners is currently advising on more the $5 billion of US PPP projects, including the Port of Miami Tunnel, the Miami Streetcar and now, the San Francisco BART Oakland Airport Connector.
PPP activity in the US is undergoing a massive ramp-up, albeit on a State-by-State basis. As an advisor to both the public and private sectors in the US and abroad InfraPartners has a dynamic window into the evolving marketplace. The earliest US PPP headlines concerned leases of existing toll roads. However, a large pipeline of greenfield and brownfield projects is also steadily advancing as the project delivery and financing benefits of PPPs become more widely understood. The Port of Miami Tunnel concession, which InfraPartners is structuring on behalf of the Florida Department of Transportation, will be the first Availability Payment-based PPP in the US.
